Love to you in Lockdown

If you’d have told us a month ago, as we welcomed gorgeous, exciting, new stock into The Golden Sheaf and Emporium for spring that we would all have to close our doors on each other, well, we just would never have believed you! Our streets are eerily quiet and the hum of traffic has slowed to a near standstill.  Children’s parks are silent..pubs, shops, clubs and bars sit empty and our human world is in crisis.  We have never known anything like it, but, as we all struggle to get our heads around what is happening to our lives as we knew them, we must try and find comfort and positivity wherever we can.

Spring hasn’t been cancelled and right outside our windows, our beautiful countryside is blooming and growing with vibrant new life, just as it has always done.  We have been blessed with some sunshine, with hopefully a lot more of that to come, and we hope that wherever you are residing, you are managing to enjoy your daily, outdoor activity in safety.  Summer is on its way.

We are so lucky to live here in Pembrokeshire, such a wonderful part of the world.  Many of us can't get to our beloved coastline right now, but isn’t it wonderful to know that it isn’t going anywhere? The tides are still turning, the birds still nesting and soaring overhead,  and maybe, just maybe, our planet will enjoy a little rest from us all as we rediscover what is really important in life...our health and love for each other.

We do miss you all and the buzz of our big little store.  We love what we do and when this is all over, we will continue to find joy in bringing you beautiful things in our Gallery and Emporium.  But in the meantime, stay safe, love each other and try and seek the positives in the weeks and months ahead.  We can do this!
